What is a donor-advised fund?

A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a charitable account maintained by a sponsoring charity. Once assets are contributed, the sponsor has legal control of them. You retain advisory privileges to recommend investments and grants under the sponsor’s policies.

Can I take my contribution back?

No. Contributions to a DAF are irrevocable and dedicated to charitable purposes. You can recommend grants to eligible charities, but contributed assets cannot be withdrawn for personal use.

What could I contribute?

The planned experience includes eligible cash, crypto, securities, and tokenized assets. Accepted assets, transfer methods, and any minimum contributions will depend on the final program and the sponsoring charity’s policies.

How would monthly giving work?

The proposed experience lets you recommend support for selected charities using available income from distributing investments. The amount depends on investment results and program terms. Investments and grants remain subject to the sponsoring charity’s policies and approval.

Can I recommend grants beyond investment income?

Yes, the planned experience includes recommending additional grants from your remaining charitable balance, subject to investment liquidity, charity eligibility, and the sponsoring charity’s approval.

When will the product be available?

The giving experience is in development. Bitbybit Charitable Foundation is the intended sponsoring charity and its IRS determination is pending. Availability, fees, investment choices, and program terms will be confirmed before launch. Join the waitlist for updates.
